Art has been a passion of mine since I was a young girl. One of my best gifts was a huge box of Caran D'Ache pencil crayons - which I used until they were too short to hold! My parents consistently encouraged me to express my creativity and to develop my talents during and after my years at school.
I received a National Diploma in Fine Art-Printmaking from the Pretoria Technikon. Apart from drawing, my other artistic pursuits include paper, jewellery, and collage making. I started painting in oils in 2006 and it has become the medium in which I now mainly work.
I have shown and sold my work at exhibitions in galleries, in private and corporate venues in Port Elizabeth and Stellenbosch. I have exhibited my art at various exhibitions including the Grahamstown National Arts Festival in 2008 and 2009 and my paintings have been sold to local and overseas buyers.
The content of my paintings is varied - I am fascinated by the principle of discovery and my work expresses my own journey of discovery as It speaks of being absorbed in the process of searching, pursuing and finding that there's always more...to find!
I also teach art, and seeing others express creativity thorough my interaction inspires me to explore my horizons over and over again.
There are two things that I particularly enjoy about art: Art is dynamic ....Art is reflective!
